A READING FROM THE GOSPEL OF JESUS ACCORDING TO
MARK (FIRST READER ONLY)
A leper came to Jesus and, kneeling down, begged
him/
"If you wish, you can make me clean."/
Having compassion for the man/
Jesus stretched out his hand and touched him./
He said, "I do will it. Be made clean."/
The leprosy left him immediately./
Jesus warned him, "See that you tell this to
no one./
Go show yourself to the priest and offer what Moses
prescribed for cleansing."/
The man began to publicise the whole matter./
So that it was impossible for Jesus to enter a town
openly./
