A READING FROM THE GOSPEL OF JESUS ACCORDING TO
JOHN (FIRST READER ONLY)
Jesus said, "The time has come for the suffering servant to
be glorified./
Truly I say to you, "Unless the grain of wheat
falls to the earth and dies,/
It remains alone./
But if it dies, it produces much fruit./
Those who love their lives above all else/
Ultimately lose them./
But those who lose their lives in this world/
Will keep them for eternal life./
Whoever wants to serve me, must follow me/
And wherever I am, there also will my servant be,/
God will honor those who serve me."/
