A READING FROM THE GOSPEL OF JESUS ACCORDING TO
LUKE (FIRST READER ONLY.)
A woman named Martha welcomed Jesus into her home,/
Mary, her sister, sat at Jesus' feet, to listen
to his words./
Martha, burdened with much serving, said to jesus./
"Lord, don't you care that my sister has left
me to do all the serving?/
Tell her to help me"/
Jesus replied, "Martha, Martha, you are anxious
and worried about many things./
Only one thing is needed,/
Mary has chosen the better part,/
And it will not be taken away from her."/
