A READING FROM THE GOSPEL OF JESUS ACCORDING TO
LUKE (FIRST READER ONLY)
Jesus entered Jericho and was walking through the
city/
Zaccheus, a tax collector and a wealthy man, wanted
to see Jesus/
He was short and could not see because of the crowd/
He ran ahead and climbed a sycamore tree/
Whe Jesus came to the place, he looked up/
He said to him, "Zaccheus, come down quickly,
for I must stay in your house today,/
Zaccheus hurried down, and received him joyfully./
